Artinya Reminder ("we", "our", "us") operates artinyareminder.com and the Artinya daily vocabulary email service. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the service. We do not collect names, phone numbers, location, IP addresses, browsing behaviour, or any sensitive personal data.

We use double opt-in: you must click a confirmation link in your welcome email before any daily words are sent. This protects you from unwanted subscriptions.
We do not: sell your data · share it with third parties for marketing · use it to train AI models · use it for advertising · use it for any purpose other than operating the service.
Your data is stored in Amazon DynamoDB (AWS US West — Oregon, USA). Storage is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). AWS is certified under ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3, and complies with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention: We retain your record for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your subscription status is set to "unsubscribed" and no further emails are sent. You may request complete deletion of all your data at any time — see Your Rights below.
Backup data may persist for up to 30 days after deletion in encrypted form before being permanently purged.
We use a small number of trusted infrastructure providers. We share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
We do not use analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media trackers, or any other third-party data processors beyond those listed above.
You have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any right, email hello@artinyareminder.com and we will respond within 5 business days (and no later than 30 days as required by law).
Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. No account required, no questions asked, effective immediately.
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Request complete deletion of all your data. We will confirm deletion within 5 business days.
If your data is inaccurate, contact us and we will correct it promptly.
Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV).
Object to or request restriction of any processing based on legitimate interests.
If you are in the UK, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you are in the EU, you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Your data is stored in the United States (AWS Oregon). For users in the UK and EU, this transfer is covered by AWS's participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and AWS Standard Contractual Clauses. These provide equivalent protections to those required under UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
Our service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encryption at rest (AES-256), encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), least-privilege access controls, and no direct database access from the public internet. Our infrastructure runs entirely on AWS with no third-party access to production systems.
No method of electronic transmission is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to hello@artinyareminder.com.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Non-material changes (such as clarifications) may be made at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after the effective date of material changes constitutes acceptance.
